When talking to Jeremy and Nana you’d never guess that these two met on Tinder! While most of us use Tinder for simply “hooking up”, Jeremy and Nana did the impossible and instead of finding a quickie, found their soulmates. For Nana it was love at first sight. “He had these “kind eyes”. I could just stare into his eyes forever and the warmest smile. The more time I spent with him, the more I wanted to be with him. The connection was not like anything I’d ever experienced and he made me feel good.”
Two years later that simple swipe right resulted in a beautiful union of two of my favorite people. This happy couple recently celebrated their love with an intimate courthouse ceremony and an understated yet elegant reception amongst 50 of their closest friends and family. Some traveled as far as Ghana, like her father, and Canada to witness this union of their love. ImagineDC was truly honored to bare witness to this union and play a part in helping them execute their dream wedding flawlessly! Nana envisioned a “Diner En Blanc” where guests adhered to an all white dress code for a chic, classic and memorable wedding.
The reception took place in their home’s lovely backyard which we transformed by utilizing romantic string lights and family style tables decorated with personalized touches including fresh flowers. Guests were able to enjoy wine in the scenic outdoors under on a warm night under the stars. Their wedding is the perfect example of how a wedding planner can help you create your perfect day by utilizing what you already have.
ImagineDC helped Nana transform a small space (her backyard) into a classic and beautiful reception despite her tight budget. All it takes is some creativity and passion to ensure the bride and groom have a day to remember. Nana was so happy with her special day!
“Spending time with my family means so much to me and being surrounded by 50 of our closest family and friends during our reception was magical. But at the end of the night after our guests had left, Jeremy and I got a moment to just enjoy one another and we took a look around our yard and how beautiful everything was under the stars and lighting. We were so grateful to have found one another and that the evening and weekend had turned out so magically.”
